"We have had wonderful experiences on Lingua Musica tours with Roma Randles, whose vast musical and organisational knowledge and ability to inspire and entertain her travelling companions is quite unique. In Poland and Russia and so many other locations, we have enjoyed Opera, Symphony and solo recitals in splendid venues as well as walled villages, enchanting countryside, significant art galleries etc."
Judy and Gordon Cope-Williams, Romsey, Victoria, Australia

"We regard our tours as being a return to favourite European places accompanied by a group of friends, which is why some of our guests have returned three, four and even five times to travel with us."

With RUTH NYE, MBE, FRCM

Our tour focuses on the life of the phenomenal pianistic soloist, Franz Liszt and his associations with other Romantics of the period. Born in Hungary, Liszt was also an important and influential composer, a notable piano teacher, a conductor who contributed significantly to the modern development of the art, and a benefactor to other composers and performers, notably Richard Wagner, Hector Berlioz, Camille Saint-Saëns, Edvard Grieg and Alexander Borodin. We will explore a less known side of Liszt's personality through his association with one of his most brilliant pupils, Martin Krause, who in turn taught the great Chilean maestro, Claudio Arrau ... and then Arrau's long-time friend and pupil, Ruth Nye.
